New York () - General Motors issued a recall (withdrawal for repairs) to 370 thousand small trucks in North America after discovering the existence of a risk of fire.
As quoted by AFP, GM said most of truck Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2014 to be re-programmed the software because it can cause overheating of the exhaust (too hot), which could potentially cause a fire engine.
GM admits there were eight cases of fires arising from the problem but no injuries.
All events take place in the affected area very cold weather, the statement said.
Recall was conducted on 303 vehicles in the United States as well as 67 thousand vehicles are exported and sold in Canada and Mexico.
