Jakarta ( sipirok.org ) - Indonesian Institute of Survey Research Institute ( insis ) estimate voter turnout in presidential election ( presidential ) 2014 will decrease compared to the 2009 Presidential election .
" As many as 51.3 percent of respondents said they would use their right to vote in the 2014 presidential election . Figure was lower than the 2009 presidential election was 72.10 percent , " said researcher insis Mochtar W Oetomo here on Sunday .

" A total of 6.07 percent of respondents want to succeed election , as much as 4.29 per cent opted for the development of democracy , and 4.2 percent will see later situation , " he said .

Mochtar explains , voter turnout in presidential elections continued to decline since 2004 . In the first round of the 2004 presidential election , voter turnout dropped to 78 percent and to 75 percent in the second round .
" Then in the 2009 presidential election voter turnout as much as 72.10 per cent , " he said .
Citizen participation in elections has also continued to decline after the reform . Participation in the election of 1999 to 92.74 percent , and fell to 84.07 percent in 2004 and fell again in 2009 so 79 percent .
