The Top 10 Favorite Movies of All Time

When the Harris Poll asked 2,276 U.S. adults to name their favorite movie of all time, the resounding No. 1 response was the epic Civil War film, "Gone With the Wind."
Never mind that it's 75 years old.
Coming in right behind it were "Star Wars" and "Titanic."
The top 10 favorite movies of all time:
1. "Gone With the Wind"
2. "Star Wars"
3. "Titanic"
4. "The Godfather"
5. "Lord of the Rings"
6. "The Sound of Music"
7. "Dirty Dancing"
8. "Wizard of Oz"
9. "It's a Wonderful Life"
10. "E.T."
Fun facts to know and tell:

• This poll was originally taken in 2008, and four movies that appeared on that list but not on this year's list are: "Casablanca," "The Notebook," "Forrest Gump" and "The Princess Bride."
• The four new movies on the list this year are: "Titanic," "Dirty Dancing," "It's a Wonderful Life" and "E.T."
• Men were most likely to choose "Star Wars" as their favorite film, followed by "The Godfather" and "Titanic."
• Women chose "Gone With the Wind," "Titanic" and "Dirty Dancing" as their favorite movies.
